Editorial Policy

What we publish

We publish directory information (doctor and clinic names, credentials, specialties, languages, addresses, phone numbers, and accepting-new-patients status) and educational guides about navigating BC's health system. We never publish medical advice, treatment recommendations, or opinions on the quality of any practitioner's care.

Sourcing

Directory data comes from sources we are permitted to use: BC government open data released under the Open Government Licence – British Columbia (such as the HealthLink BC walk-in clinic and urgent care datasets), health authority websites, and clinics' own public websites. Every record stores its source. We do not scrape sources whose terms prohibit our use of their data.

Verification and freshness

Accepting-new-patients statuses display the date they were last verified. Statuses older than 60 days are shown as “status unconfirmed” rather than presented as current. Guides display a “last updated” date and cite official sources — primarily gov.bc.ca, HealthLink BC, health authorities, and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.

Advertising and affiliates

Advertising and affiliate relationships never influence directory data. Pages containing affiliate links carry a disclosure. Clinics cannot pay for a better accepting-status or ranking.

Corrections

Every profile has a “report a correction / request removal” link. We review all reports and process removal requests promptly. See our Data & Corrections Policy for details.
